Cruise Stop 2: Cozumel, Mexico

I know it’s taken me forever to write about my vacation – so sorry. Slowly but surely I’ll get through each one.

Our second stop on the cruise was to Cozumel, Mexico. We decided to do an excursion on this one, and we also booked through Carnival since the company only accepted reservations through cruise lines. We decided to do the sail, snorkel and deluxe beach cruise…I think that’s what it was called. Basically a booze cruise on a catamaran boat and we went snorkeling for about 30 minutes. It was fun, but I wasn’t overly thrilled with it. The snorkeling was okay. I definitely saw cooler, more exotic fish on my first cruise. The water was pretty cold so I didn’t last long.

After the snorkel part of the cruise we went to a private beach with chairs, cabanas, and this little guy! He let me get so close too.

We were only at the beach for about an hour then we were on our way back to the main port. Oh, but the most exciting part was that we were on a celebrity cruise with the-one-and-the-only, Chuck Norris.

I know it sounds so mean, but this guy was straight from the 80’s. The next day we saw him in cut off jorts, a Meatlloaf cutoff t-shirt, fanny pack, white Reeboks, and white ankle socks. And his wife wasn’t any better.

Back at the port we ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant, Three Amigos. Then we had fun with the donkey out front. We all wore our fake ‘staches too (which were a total hit) and posed with the fake guns. That’s Ashley below (my old roommate).

They also had some very interesting stores. Drugs and deli…convenience!

And then we got bored…

Cozumel was probably my least favorite of the 4 stops, but still fun. I think I’d like to go back and get out of the Carnival Cruise line area. Next stop…Belize!
