I’ve shown a few small glimpses into our master bedroom, but I felt like it was time to show everyone the status of our current room. This was actually the first room we even started to makeover by giving it a fresh coat of paint. It definitely needed it. The splotchy yellow paint wasn’t cutting it. I guess they tried to touch up in places but it was very noticeably a different color. It is still a work-in-progress – even after two years.
Here are two before pictures from our walk-through (with the previous homeowners furniture) – it’s all I’ve got. Sorry.
We wanted to hide the dormers as much as possible so we decided to paint them the same color as the wall to blend in a bit more. We also chose a light blue color which helped hide them as well, and helped brighten the room since we don’t get very much natural light.
A few things still on the to-do list:
- install new flooring
- add a rug
- install an overhead light
- fix the vents!! (apparently they got disconnect in our room somehow)
- find the perfect bench for in front of the bed
- find something for above the bed (maybe architectural?)
