Nursery Plans

Evan and I are expecting our first child at the end of April, and we could not be more excited! We also like to torture ourselves and will not be finding out the gender of the baby beforehand. I was on the fence about finding out for awhile, but I’m actually so so glad that we aren’t. It has been hard not knowing (and gender neutral clothes are – ehhh) but I know it will be so worth it. I can’t wait to find out who little peanut is!

We do have some names picked out already. I’ve had my heart set on Everly for a girl for a few years now. Pretty sure nothing is going to change my mind at this point and thankfully Evan is on board. We have a few boy names picked out too but it’s not set in stone yet. So TBD there…

So I’ve basically been designing the nursery in my head for a few years now, but it’s so fun to actually start putting things together. I’ve been verryyy picky about everything. It’s taken me forever to finally pull the trigger and order things. And I’m trying to keep the overall budget down as it’s very easy to go crazy on nursery furniture and decor.

Since we aren’t finding out the gender beforehand everything is staying pretty neutral until peanut is born. Grays (imagine that, right?) – whites/creams – and a pretty dusty blue. If peanut is a girl, we’ll add blush pink, and if peanut is a boy, we’ll add navy blue.

I put together mood boards for each version of the nursery with a few sources below (in case anyone was curious). Some things I’ve already purchased, others will obviously have to wait until peanut makes his/her debut in a few months.
